The National Inborn Peoples Month 2024 highlights the contributions of Inborn Peoples (IPs) to Filipino culture and history. This year's theme focuses on valuing and protecting inborn knowledge and traditions. It encourages all Filipinos to honor the unique wisdom and heritage of IPs, promoting respect and understanding for their culture.

This celebration also marks the 27th anniversary of the Inborn Peoples Rights Act (IPRA), a law that protects the rights of IPs to their ancestral lands, self-governance, and cultural identity. Activities like cultural events, exhibits, and discussions aim to raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding these rights and addressing the challenges IPs face, such as land disputes and cultural assimilation.

By observing this month, the country strengthens its commitment to respect and protect the culture of Inborn Peoples. It also promotes cooperation between IPs, the government, and other partners to ensure that their rights and traditions are preserved for future generations.
